ABOUT THE GROUP
This is a group to get you out of your house or away from your desk, and find time to connect with your baby (0-2). Meet once a week for 6 weeks and join other adults going through the challenges of early parenthood, normalize the stress and uncertainty, and relish in the parts that bring you joy. Each meeting is 90 minutes to allow you time for snack breaks, transitional walks, and diaper changes.

WHY this GROUP?
Unlike other support groups, this group is designed to provide you social engagement, psychoeducation, connection, and bonding with your little one. Led by a licensed clinical therapist and Erikson Institute educated expert in child development, there will be educational activities and thoughtful discussions. You can expect gorgeous giggles, tears and tantrums, and other grownups who understand.

Yes! This group encourages you to bring your little one to play, connect, and learn with an expert in child development along side other parents.

For the success of this group, the child you may bring with you must be between the ages of 0-2.

Meet Margot Materer, MS, LCSW!

This group runs once a week for 6 weeks (6 sessions in total). Each session is 90 minutes long to support you with transitions, snack breaks, and potential diaper changes!

$45 per session.
Since this group runs for six weeks and meets once a week, the estimated total would be $270 ($45×6 sessions)

Consistency is important in a group setting as the members benefit from each other. It is encouraged that you commit to all of the sessions. However, we understand that things happen. It is this groups agreement that you do not miss more than 1 session.
In terms of this groups cancelation policy - members are allowed 1 cancelation, made 24 hours in advance, aside from certain extenuating circumstances. Cancelations made less than 24 hours or missed sessions will result in a $45 ‘no show’ or ‘late cancelation’ fee.

Margot is a licensed clinical social worker. She received her Mater’s in Social Work from Loyola University and her Masters in Child Development from Erikson Institute.
Margot specializes in early child development and parenting. She uses a client-centered, attachment, and relational approach to create a safe, fun, and supportive space.
