ABOUT
Sarah Schroeder is a seasoned Psychotherapist and Child Development Specialist, and Founder of New World Psychology, LLC. She has been a practicing professional for over 10 years using attachment-based, relational, and psychodynamic approaches to support clients in meeting their desired goals. Sarah prides herself in creating a safe and playful holding space where her clients can feel ready to explore experiences and feelings at their own pace. Sarah believes that good things happen through good relationships and that the therapeutic relationship is key in making sustainable progress. Her specialties of passionate work are listed below.
Originally from Los Angeles, California, Sarah made her way to the even-sunnier Arizona, where she received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Arizona. From there she moved to the exciting city of Chicago, where she received her Master of Science in Child Development from Erikson Institute and her Master’s in Social Work (with a Specialization in Mental Health and a Clinical Concentration in Children and Families) from Loyola University, Chicago. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) for the State of Illinois.

When she’s not working, Sarah enjoys spending time with her husband and their three beautifully brilliant children. She loves to watch Pixar movies, reads and writes poetry, collects plants, doodles, and crafts. She also wrote and illustrated the children’s book “This is Ebba,” which is about a lonesome little sea turtle who discovers resilience, friendship, and healing through surprising events.
